Fitness & Personal Training
The Fitness Department at MVP Athletic Club is equipped with state-of-the-art cardiovascular and strength equipment and group exercise studios for weekly mind/body, cycling, and strength & cardio classes.
New members receive NEWFIT orientation-training sessions with a personal trainer to create your personalized fitness program on a Technogym® Smart Key. You must be at least 13 years of age and have completed the mandatory Fitness Floort Basics class to utilize the strength and training equipment.

NEWFIT
Your membership entitles you to two sessions with a certified personal trainer. Specifically designed for you, NEWFIT (Nutrition, Exercise, Wellness, Fitness, Instruction and Training) will establish a personalized program to get the results you want while providing immediate familiarization with the many world-class services and features we have to offer. Consider it a fast-pass to a new you!
What to expect in your first NEWFIT session:
- Overall review of your Health & Activity Questionnaire.
- Baseline Testing – Height, Weight, Blood Pressure, Circumferences & Body Fat (Additional testing can be performed at your discretion.)
- Guide to using your Technogym Wellness Program
- An in-depth overview on the “MVP Basic 8,” used for total body conditioning.
- 30-minute cardiovascular workout
What to expect in your second NEWFIT session:
- A review of your Technogym Wellness Program, including workout plan.
- A workout of your choice with your trainer. Choose between one of the following:
- Group Personal Training Session
- Nutritional Analysis Session
- Group Exercise Class (any class on group exercise schedule w/ exception of Awesome Abs)
- General Sport Program (One class only. IE Cardio Tennis, Fitness Swimming, etc.)
Your two NEWFIT sessions are included in your membership and must be completed within the first 45 days of enrollment. When scheduling a NEWFIT session, your personal trainer will be setting time aside to meet with you. If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please contact your trainer by calling the facility at least 24-hours in advance or you will lose that visit.
Fitness Floor Basics
This is a mandatory training session for teen members ages 13 to 17. At MVP Athletic Club, we strive for the safest, most effective programming for all areas of the club. With regard to strength and aerobic training, we believe teens age 13 to 17 can achieve major fitness benefits from this type of training, provided this training is done correctly. For this reason, Fitness Floor Basics is designed to direct and educate our youth membership as to proper technique, training methods and overall safety on the Fitness Floor.
In this program, a fitness team member provides basic information about exercise physiology and the benefits of exercise through a brief discussion. A demonstration is conducted on the equipment. Following the demonstration, they are able to participate in a short period of supervised practical application. Sign up is required.
