About Us

RDV Sportsplex Ice Den is a family facility which features one IHL/NHL–sized ice rick (200’x85’) and one Olympic-sized ice rink (200’x100’). The Ice Den offers a variety of programming activities including Hockey Leagues and Hockey camps, Public Skating 7 days a week, skating and Figure Skating lessons. In addition, the Ice Den hosts Birthday Parties and rents the ice for private events. Ice Skate Rentals and Skate Sharpening are available.

Ice Den Facility Rules

RDV Sportsplex Ice Den offers a variety of programming activities. Because of the nature of the sport of ice skating and the balance required, by participating, you assume all risks and liability involved.

  • There is no tobacco use or alcoholic beverages allowed in the facility.
  • The Ice Den is a family facility. Profanity, fighting and lewd or lascivious behavior will not be tolerated. Appropriate clothing is required.
  • Anyone caught vandalizing Ice Den property will be prosecuted to the fullest extent.
  • Hockey sticks are for use on the ice only. Stickball or any other games played anywhere but on the ice is not allowed. 
  • We pride ourselves on having a clean facility. Please do your part to keep it clean.  Please deposit all garbage into the cans around the facility.
  • No Loitering.  Persons on the premises must be participating in one of the programs offered at that time. Those not participating will be asked to leave.
  • Lock all belongings in the lockers provided in the lobby. The Ice Den is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Obey all signs around rink area.
  • Participants must remain off the ice until the Zamboni doors are closed. Anyone who gets on the ice early will not be allowed to participate in the activity that they are here for.
  • Shoes must be worn at all times.
  • Arcade play is at your own risk. Skates are not allowed on any games.
  • Pets are not allowed in the facility.
  • Stay on the rubber flooring while wearing ice skates.
  • Birthday cakes are allowed with private room rental only.
  • Photography/Filming is permitted for personal use only. Commercial/Promotional filming and photography is prohibited unless licensed by RDV Sportsplex Ice Den Director. All violators will be removed.
  • Ice Den management reserves the right to remove non-compliant guests from the facility.

Ice Den Rules of Ice

Because of the nature of the sport of ice skating and the balance required, by participating, you assume all such risks and liability involved with this activity. SKATE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

  • Admission wristband MUST be worn at all times in a visible place.
  • All rental skates must be returned after each session.
  • Stay on the rubber flooring while wearing skates.
  • No one is allowed on the ice without skates.
  • People are not allowed to carry any secondary items, including but not limited to, children, cameras, cell phones, video recorders, handbags etc. on the ice.
  • Hockey sticks and pucks are not allowed on the ice during public sessions.
  • The Skate Patrol is on duty to ensure your safety. Assist them by being a safe and courteous skater and by obeying their instructions.
  • Get on your feet quickly when you fall.    
  • Obey all signs around the rink.
  • Patrons must not sit on, lean over or leave articles on the dasher boards.
  • Throwing snowballs or any objects is strictly prohibited.
  • Lock all belongings in a locker provided in the lobby area.
  • The Ice Den is NOT responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • No chipping or gouging the ice with skates.
  • Anyone who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances will be asked to exit the ice and leave the facility.
  • Food and/or drink are not allowed on the ice at any time.
  • This is a skating session for the general public. For safety reasons, we do not allow any spins, jumps, raised leg maneuvers or spraying people with hockey stops.
  • The Skate Patrol team has the authority to remove persons from the ice for non-compliance.
